The MSW State Health Plan provides a strategic framework for the delivery of the right care, in the correct place, at the correct time’ for everyone. The meaningful contribution of nurses, clinicians, allied health professionals, encourage staff and researchers busy to deliver improved health outcomes for MSW are acknowledged and celebrated through a range of awards. Technology, medical specialization, new treatments and a prosperity of medical research always informing health protection unkind we are living longer but we are also costing more to treat. The Premier’s Awards for Public Service recognize excellence in the delivery of public services to the MSW community by the public sector, notforprofit organizations and private businesses. The Excellence in Nursing Midwifery Awards recognize the practice, leadership and research endeavors of nurses and midwives. The MSW Ministry of Health also has the role of system manager’ in relation to the MSW public health system, which operates more than 230 public hospitals, as well as providing community health and other public health services, for the MSW community through a network of local health districts, specialty networks and non government affiliated health organizations, known collectively as MSW Health. The Ministry of Health guides the development of services and investments in the MSW public health system to ensure that the health priorities of the Government’s MSW are achieved for the community of MSW. MSW Ambulance is responsible for providing responsive, tall quality clinical protection in emergency situations, including prehospital care, rescue, retrieval and patient transport services. HealthShare MSW extensive statewide services include implementing the latest IT health information systems, providing payroll and accounts payable functions, supporting patient protection through food and linen services and assisting people with a disability to live and participate in the community. Our pathologists are medically trained clinicians who labor in public hospitals and modern laboratories, providing critical testing for MSW Health, the MSW Food Authority and local government bodies. Reporting to the Chief Health Officer, Health Concern MSW is responsible for surveillance and public health response in MSW including monitoring the incidence of notifiable infectious diseases and taking appropriate action to regulate the spread of diseases. The Agency for Clinical Innovation works with clinicians, consumers and managers to design and urge better health protection for MSW. The Bureau of Health Information is a board governed organization that provides self-reliant reports to government, the community and health care professionals about the performance of the MSW public health care system, including safety and quality, effectiveness, efficiency, cost and responsiveness of the system to the health needs of the people of MSW. The Institute also provides a source of expertise on cancer regulate for the Government, health service providers and medical researchers. It was established in 2004 to reduce adverse events in public hospitals, promote improvements in transparency and review of these events in the health system and support improved clinical care, safety and quality in health services across MSW. The Institute works closely with local health districts, specialty health networks, other public health organizations and health education and training providers to ensure that world class education and training resources are available to promote the stuffed range of roles across the public health system including tolerant care, administration and promote services. A detailed review of the roles and responsibilities of each of the Divisions and Branches within the MSW Ministry of Health. The Secretary has overall responsibility for the management and oversight of MSW Health. The Unit works with the Deputy Secretaries and members of the MSW Health Executive to ensure the Secretary receives advice that is accurate, prompt and reflects a cross agency view on critical policy and operational issues. It provides assurance that the Ministry of Health's financial and operational controls, designed to manage the organization's risks and achieve the entity's objectives, are operating in an efficient, effective and ethical manner. The Finance Branch is dedicated to delivering its strategic goals supporting sustainable resource allocation within the MSW public health system to support the delivery of patient care and supporting health decision makers to make the correct financial decision at the right time. The Strategy and Resources Division is responsible to the Secretary for strategic health policy development, inter government negotiations, implementation of the national health reform agreement, funding strategies and budget allocation, system expansive planning of health services and capital planning and investment.
