Ford delivered its beginning air cooled heat exchange to the Oil Gas industry way back in 1977. In addition to the gas compressor balance of plant, Ford’s scope included gas metering, condensate export and fuel gas treatment modules, plus a flare system. Ford has extensive experience in the design and supply of mercury removal systems. They are used where condensate volumes are too important for separation in a vessel. Services include inlet and production separators, slug catchers and test separators. The lower image shows a three phase separator delivered to a Thai offshore gas plant. These are impaired to partition liquids from gases in a variety of applications including product recovery and gas pipeline transmission. The separator is a two phase gas liquid separator using a vane inlet device and axial cyclone elements to partition the two phases lower a tall operating pressure. Design performance was thereby achieved. Ford works with technology partners from the FEED stage to optimism Sulphate Reduction Plant process design and module layout, to suit the specific demands of each project. In practice achieving high removal efficiency means capturing particles in the lowest of size ranges, say less than 3 micra in diameter, and for this they must be operate with high pressure drops across the venture throat. This plant is a fixed bed design, designed for 3,00 tons per day. The brownfield retrofit project was complex due to the constraints of the plant. The recovered steam was condensed in air cooled condensers, for recycle to the nickel smelter. We join a range of feasible pretreatments to modify the chemistry of effluents, followed by proven evaporation and crystallization technology to divide clean water for recycle and to recuperate firm by products. Unit operations can be built individually or as portion of a single module to reduce site labor and installation. This single row vacuum steam condenser (also called ABC or Air Cooled Condenser) was designed, manufactured and commissioned for a 130MW combined cycle power plant in Korea.
